Many years ago I read about a then well know British journalist named James Cameron. During the Korean War, when he first arrived in a combat zone, he was soon writing his highly regarded dispatches. Another journalist, who had been there for several months previous to Cameron’s arrival, asked him how he managed to so quickly figure out what was happening in the confused situation. Cameron responded that he relied upon his own ethics to understand what was right and what was wrong.
The challenge in life for us all is to make sense of our existence. Making pictures has always helped me to make sense and to create meaning out of living.
